IRAN-T

The situation in Iran is clearly very serious and tense and we must watch developments there with concern. As a student of international politics I am always fascinated by Iran and often frustrated that this potentially powerful country doesn't make more of itself. How can it with a populist clown as its President and half its population struggling to make ends meet while he postures with nuclear weapons?

The trouble is that I am always faced with a titanic struggle, when watching, hearing or reading reports on that country, to put Pamela Stephenson out of my mind. "Ayatollah, Khomenei closer and I will rush into your arms." This of course works even better with the newest member of the theocracy there.

However bad the world gets, satire always has the power to pull us through.

NB: if anyone responds asking how I would like it if they took the mickey out of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Prime Minister or some other English luminary, the answer is 'bring it on', just make it funny.

Well, it's not funny so it fails the first test.

Plus the original Not the Nine o'Clock News song was brilliantly satirising the idolisation of Khomeini, whereas this little poem is just rubbish and bears no relation to the truth so, as satire, it is shite.

So no.

Your saying his pants aren't on fire shows an ignorance of folk poetry. That bit isn't meant to be taken literally. You could have legimitaely objected to the scansion which i will admit isn't great.

Sheesh, what has the Mighty Padster done to you?

Nothing to me.

I know you LibDems have no problem approving of the Magnificent Auschwitz because it was only Jews, Gypsies & poofs there.

Blimey, a therapist's dream here.

Sure the Padster was a dictator in Bosnia. That was because the Bosnians - on all sides - were trying their damndest to continue their nasty little mutual genocide. Thank God he kicked some arses - and no doubt pissed off a lot of people.

The comment on Auchwitz pretty much brings this dialogue to an end as its just nonsense - and nonsense in particularly bad taste.

Well he didn't "piss off" or indeed "kick the arses2 of the )ex-)Nazis publicly committed to genocide he had been so enthisiaswticly supporting.

I regard calling assisting in child sex slavery as "kicking arses" as being not only a lie but a lie in very poor taste.

It is quite clear you know every word I have said is true & exposes you & your "Hitster" supporting racist party as exactly what you are.

Either you can provide evidence that the Serbs engaged in genocide comparable to that carried out by Ashdown's (ex-)Nazi allies or you owe them & everybody else for being a racist, genocide supporting, liar.

I said I wouldn't but that last comment was a cracker which demands a wider audience.

Apparently aliens landed at Roswell in 1947 and walk among us. AND the Duke of Edinburgh killed Diana. AND the US government planned the 9/11 attacks.

It's all true, dammit!
